With a career spanning 23 films and 29 stage plays, Irene Escolar (Madrid, 1988) is an established actress. Winner of the Goya Award for Best New Actress for An Autumn Without Berlin, she has worked under the direction of acclaimed filmmakers such as Carlos Saura (The Seventh Day), José Luis Cuerda (The Blind Sunflowers), and Jonás Trueba (You Have to Come and See It).
In 2024 and 2025, she starred in the series Largas Sombras (Disney+), Abogadas—where she portrays Manuela Carmena—and La Ruta VII. She also stands out as a creator and executive producer for the project Escenario 0 alongside Bárbara Lennie. Throughout her career, she has been honored with the Culture Award of the Community of Madrid, the Fotogramas Award, and the ACE Award in New York, among others.
