A renowned international leader in the fields of technology and regulation, Carme Artigas (Vilassar de Mar, Barcelona, 1968) served as Spain’s first Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (2020–2023). She co-chaired the United Nations High-Level Advisory Body on AI, coordinating global governance recommendations for the technology.

Co-founder and former CEO of Synergic Partners, she has held positions on the boards of directors of various public and private companies. She is currently a Senior Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center, making history as the first Spanish woman to hold this prestigious position.
