Carolina Villarroya Beltri
With a degree in Biochemistry from the UAM, a master's degree in Molecular Biomedicine, and an international PhD in Molecular Biology from the same university, during her stay at the CNIC Carolina Villarroya studied the mechanisms that control the composition and secretion of exosomes. At the CNIO she has investigated the role of Cdc14 phosphatases in the differentiation of pluripotent stem cells and has characterized a new Mosaic Variegated Aneuploidy Syndrome that produces high tumor susceptibility. In 2024, she obtained a Ramón y Cajal contract to start an independent research line at the Centro de Biología Molecular Severo Ochoa. She is the author of 15 scientific articles and one patent.
PhD in Molecular Biology and CSIC Scientist
