Boris Izaguirre
Writer, scriptwriter and television presenter, Boris Izaguirre (Caracas, 1965) started working as a soap opera screenwriter in Venezuela, although he has spent most of his successful career in Spain.
In 2007, his novel ‘Villa Diamante’ was a Premio Planeta finalist. He has published 10 other books, including ‘Y de repente fue ayer’, ‘Dos monstruos juntos’, ‘Un jardín al norte’ and ‘Tiempo de tormentas’, his latest novel.
In April, he premiered his contemporary zarzuela ‘Trato de favor’ at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid. After rising to fame in the late-night television show "Crónicas marcianas", he has presented and participated in various television programs and has collaborated with print media such as ‘Vanity Fair’, ‘El País’, ‘Hola’, ‘GQ’ and ‘Vogue’ and radio stations including Onda Cero and Cadena Ser. He has been married to Rubén Nogueira since 2006.
