Trained as a pilot at the Aeromadrid school in Cuatro Vientos, Beatriz, better known as Bety, started her career in commercial aviation in 1994. Three years later, in 1997, she made the jump to Iberia as a Boeing B757 co-pilot. In 2015, she was released as a commander in the A320 fleet and, a few months later, she was appointed trainer and checker.

In addition, since March 14, 2023, she has been Iberia's Short and Medium-Radio Fleet Chief.
