Alejandra Castro Rioseco
A civil engineer who has been dedicated to philanthropy for 15 years, the main pillars of her commitment are women's empowerment and women's rights, education, arts and technology. Founder of the MIA Art Collection, the largest private collection of art created by women in the world, her work supporting and visualizing women artists has led her to organize exhibitions all over the world.
In March 2020, she created the MIA Anywhere virtual museum, an online platform promoting women artists that allows visitors to tour a virtual museum space.She has held leadership positions in numerous prestigious organizations and entities, including the Latin American and Middle Eastern circles of the Guggenheim Museum; El Museo del Barrio in New York; the International Federation of Chopin Societies (Poland); or the José Limón Ballet Company in New York.
This year, Alejandra collaborated in the creation of the first gender thematic roundtable at the Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, held in March in the Dominican Republic.Her commitment to organizations working for gender equality and the promotion of music, dance, and the arts as an integral part of children's education is part of her contribution to building a more harmonious and balanced society. Alejandra lives in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
